Mrs Martie Potgieter

Mrs Potgieter has been appointed as the new Business Manager for the school. Mrs Potgieter brings with her an astute business mind topped by more than 15 years’ experience in the corporate world. She joins Kimberley Boys' High School from Diamantveld High School where she gained experience in fundraising and hosting. Mrs Potgieter is married with three adult children. She is wished the best of “flights” at Kimberley Boys’ High School.


Ms Dimakatso Ramathinyane


Ms Ramathinyane joins Kimberley Boys’ High School to be the Head of Department for Languages. She joins the school from Mogomotsi High School in Warrenton. The new HOD for Languages holds a BA, majoring in Psychology and Education from Vista University, a Diploma in Education from RAU, a Post Graduate Certificate in Education from UNISA as well as Certificate in Music obtained through University of Alberta. Ms Ramathinyane will be teaching English. Besides being a teacher, she is a musician, with music related titles of conductor, adjudicator, music workshops facilitator as well as vocal trainer. Ms Ramathinyane conducted the St Boniface High School, Mogomotsi Secondary School and the OLO ( Our Lady of Olo) Fatima Shrine Choirs. She led the Tirisano National Youth Choir which represented South Africa at the Music Olympiads in Germany in 2004. Under her baton, some of her students have gone on to be Music teachers, lecturers and professional opera singers performing locally and abroad. With such know-how positioned in our midst, it is not prophetic to predict that the community will be “hearing” from the Kimberley Boys’ High School Choir again, once the ban on singing is lifted. Her passions are music and gardening. And seeing the African child excel in life.

Ms Dimakatso Ramathinyane and Ms Refiloe Loate

Ms Refiloe Loate


Ms Loate holds a B. Ed Honours in Educational Management and Psychology, a Post Graduate Certificate in Education specialising in Business Studies and Accounting as well as a National Diploma in Human Resources Management. As evidenced by her qualifications Ms Loate is passionate about developing herself, she extends that passion to developing others and intends to throw the same passion into developing our boys. Ms Loate will be teaching EMS, Business Studies and English.



Mr Thabo Moilwa


Mr Moilwa holds a Bachelor of Education majored in Mathematics and Science from the Sol Plaatje University and is completing his Bachelor of Education (Honours) from the same university. He joins us from Floors High School and comes backed by a roaring versatility which the School happily looks forward to benefit from.



Some of his outstanding toils were experienced as the Sol Plaatje 2019 SRC President, having been the Sport Officer and Treasurer in 2017 and 2018 respectively and a member of the University Sport South Africa National Executive Committee and Co-Chairperson for Transformation and Development from 2019. He is also currently the SA World Student Games 2021 (Chengdu, China) 1st Deputy Chef de Mission and Confederation of University and Colleges Sports Association Region Games 1st Deputy Chief de Mission. Mr Moilwa was also part of the Sol Plaatje’s current Vice Chancellor Appointment Committee. He will be teaching Mathematics and Science.
