South African Representative at the 2021 African Youth Chess Championships (AYCC)


Omaatla Mothata, a Grade 9 learner at Kimberley Boys’ High School and brilliant chess player has been selected, together with eight other youth to represent the Northern Cape Province and South Africa at the 2021 African Youth Chess Championships (AYCC). The competition is scheduled to take place from the 18th to the 26th of September 2021 in Accra, Ghana.


Omaatla left for Ghana last night. We are mighty proud of him and wish him well in the tournament.

Go Omaatla! Fly the KHS, Northern Cape Province and South African Flags high!
