The KHS Science Club recently attended a virtual learner workshop organised by the Eskom Expo for Young Scientist - Kimberley Region. The session was hosted by the Provincial Coordinator in the Northern Cape, Mr Chris McCartney, in collaboration with Mr Mtilene who is the manager of the Science Club at KHS and the Director of Eskom Expo for Young Scientists in the Kimberley region. The purpose of the workshop was to provide learners with the knowledge and skills to undertake a research project, ranging from Maths, Science, Engineering and Technology to Social Sciences, for the Regional Science Fair competition to be hosted around August in the Northern Cape Province.

We hope the workshop created a spark and inspired our learners to be interested in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Innovation (STEMI), and for them to be encouraged to participate in the upcoming Eskom Expo for Young Scientists competition.
