The KHS School Management Team unpacked the Covid-19 Standard Operation Procedures during their weekly staff development meeting on Friday 4 June 2021. The Headmaster set the tone by explaining the rationale and importance of understanding the development and implementation of SOPs.

Ms Stanfley, clarified the different scenarios and procedures that should be followed when a case or suspected case occurs while Ms Ramatinyane demonstrated how a mask should be worn, and the reasons for avoiding further transmissions when using a mask.

Mr van Niekerk highlighted the importance of protecting teaching and learning when a case (or suspected case) breaks. He explained, from the Schools and School Community SOPs, how KHS would respond by providing virtual learning in a scenario like that.

Further training of non-teaching staff and learners, will take place during the course of next week. The classrooms will continue to be cleaned everyday while deep disinfection of the entire school will take place every weekend, after intervention classes. Every staff member receives a bottle of sanitizer per month.
